The thirteenth week at ICOMP, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

November 23-26
The days during the week were spent in front of the computer until our eyes became shaped as rectangles. We did further development of the concepts and spent quite some time on the phone talking to different “spring-experts” about several solutions. The dimensioning and calculating of springs turned out to be pretty tricky because we had to take many aspects under consideration. We spent hours looking through product catalogues to analyse the standard components that are available.
We contacted several sub-contractures to compare different attachment methods efficiency and costs. We don’t want to end up with a product that breaks our cost-limit.
We have ordered prototypes for both of the concepts and each time we got as happy as we had been when we got our first prototype. It’s still as Christmas Eve when we get to assembly them. Big thanks to our friend at the workshop, who manage the plastic printer, for really really good prototypes!
The evenings have either being spent at ICOMP or with friends =) On Wednesday we drank “glögg” and watched a movie at a friend’s apartment. On Thursday, we were playing guitar hero, virtual bowling and fencing at the activity house with a couple of friends. After Work has really becoming a traditional Thursday activity!
We were invited to dinner at a friend’s house in the woods on Friday evening. The men cooked dinner for us and we got a soup for starter, rise and peanut buttery chicken for main course and chocolate mousse with whipped cream and raspberries for dessert, YUMMIE! =) Big pluses to them!
Later on that evening we ran out in the snow barefoot to jump in a “wilderness bath tub” where we floated many hours that night! We had a really good time! =)
