Solid Paper Board (laminated board) could be used in storing boxes, back panels in shelf’s, picture frames and drawer bottoms.
Solid Paper Board is produced of recycled cellulose fibre and it is a very easily converted material (i.e folding and cutting) due to the lamination technique. It is also Formaldehyde free (even lower then natural wood) and have a low area weight. Solid Paper Board has therefore a low environmental impact and is a natural sustainable choice. This new material should be seen as an alternative to HDF/MDF and it has a great potential within IKEA to enable new designs and to balance IKEA´s availability on the board market.
