Moving from Prague to Älmhult

My name is Alena and I come from the Czech republic. I have recently (in October) moved to Älmhult with my fiancée, who works in IKEA of Sweden. I work as a Supply Planner at IKEA Components.
I enjoy living in Älmhult a lot, I like living in Sweden just as much. Having had a previous experience living and working abroad, Sweden has been the most welcoming to settle in.
IKEA was my first and only choice of an employer after deciding to take this big step. To become a part of IKEA has been my dream.
About my experience as a newcomer? Being new in IKEA is exciting. Of course I face a lot of new information to absorb every day, but I also see the opportunities to be creative, come up with new ideas and become a better colleague and a person. I can’t forget to mention how much I appreciate the support I have from my manager and the whole team. Thank you guys.
Having just moved to Älmhult ... it is different and it is new. To me, this place is unique. I like that I have the chance to live a healthy life surrounded by nature instead of skyscrapers. The only thing I miss here is my family and unfortunately, Starbucks (but this isn’t anything a good coffee maker wouldn’t solve).
