IKEA Components is part of the IKEA group and we share the IKEA vision and values. Our vision is to create a better everyday life for the many people. The business idea of IKEA supports this vision by offering a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them.
Our role and our task in IKEA are to offer a high competence in selected areas of components and raw material, to act integrated and together with other IKEA units.
IKEA Components is a part of the IKEA Creating process and the IKEA Supplying process. In the IKEA Creating process our task is to develop IKEA unique, smart solutions and customer friendly components that fulfill IKEA Creating needs.
In the IKEA Supplying process our role is to be a contributor to IKEA Supplier Purchase. Our task is to act on a global level, creating substantial cost and qualitative benefits in selected parts of the supply chain of components and raw materials.
By moving one step back in the Supply chain, we allow IKEA to move two steps ahead of the competition.
